If it is any consolation, your joyful anecdotes and writings have brought much joy to me in the last 6-8 months...on a lot of days when I particularly needed some joy in my day. This verse always helps me to keep my perspective about the things we go thru and deal with... II Cor. 1:3-7 (Message Bible)
3 -5All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.

6 -7When we suffer for Jesus, it works out for your healing and salvation. If we are treated well, given a helping hand and encouraging word, that also works to your benefit, spurring you on, face forward, unflinching. Your hard times are also our hard times. When we see that you're just as willing to endure the hard times as to enjoy the good times, we know you're going to make it, no doubt about it.
Bless you this day...

Joni, Joni, Joni... I am so sorry about your terrible, horrible very bad day and season but if this is where your blog was born Praise Jesus!!! I am not sure you even meant for this to be a ministry but your ministering sister. Some mutual friends told me to look you up and now I can't wait for your next blog. I love your So It Begins. My son has just joined the Lions this year and I sooo agree with knowing he is safe physically and emotionally. What other principal sends the "new kid" a note in the mail with Joshua 1:9 included. I love knowing he is memorizing bible versus instead of Spongebob sayings. Thanks for sharing part of yourself. D

You have really touched me - especially today. My husband and I are also so very focused on what God wants us to do - it has been constantly on our lips and in our prayers. We still feel like we know what He wants us to do - but in the midst - my husband has lost his job.

We know that God is sufficient, but I am so incredibly HUMAN - dang it! Thanks for adding a moment of reflection to my day.

I've been trying to find joy for years. It comes and goes in split moments but for the most part I'm just trudging along.

Ginny Owens is the one that gets me through...

"This might not be the way I would have chosen..

When You lead me through a world that's not my home.

But you never said it would be easy... you only said I'd never go alone.

So when the whole world turns against me and I'm all by myself. And I can't hear you answer my cries for help.

I'll remember the suffering your love put you through..

and I will walk through the valley... if you want me to."

MOCS-
I love those verses. What a great reminder that there is purpose in the pain, perfect plans in the suffering.
Thanks for sending it my way!

Not too old-
It never ceases to amaze me how God uses all circumstances and experiences for our good and His glory.
Someone once told me that just when you think things can't get worse, and then THEY DO, watch out, because God is up to something big.
I am praying for you.

I could have written your post - word for word. My family and I are in the process of moving to another town. A year ago I had a nice little life as a SAHM and I find myself sitting at my computer at work typing this out while my husband is at home sending out resumes - still. You see, we are still in the chaos of our trial but reading your blog gives me hope that before too much longer the door to this tumbling dryer will be opened and cold air will once again rush in and calm me. Thank you, more than you know.
